It has 5 full octaves, plus one extra C at the top end, so a total of 61 keys. It is a heavy instrument for musical groups or acts that would travel from city to city. Mom used to call this a “Vaudeville” piano, supposedly because it was a small enough instrument that it could be hoisted up into a truck or wagon by very strong persons. However, it is a fun piece to have in the home, kids love it it’s kid size! And a novelty for visitors. ![]() The E flat key in the 2nd octave from the bottom sticks, damper does not r-engage. Most of the keys play, but this instrument needs work, some keys are not operating all that well, and after tuning, it tends to go out of tune sooner than it should. Up for sale is this old Wurlitzer piano, guessing by the serial number 138860 it dates to the mid- to late 1930’s. Wurlitzer Vaudeville or “Traveling” Piano.
